Throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have worked very hard to keep our employees and customers updated on our response. We have shared the measures taken to protect our team members and neighbors visiting our offices on our website and our social media platforms. The personal health and well-being of community members, as well as the financial impact felt by our local business community and the people who work within it, has weighed heavily on our hearts and minds.
In response to the updated City of Athens Mask Ordinance passed by Athens City Council on August 16, 2021, we are again requiring employees to wear masks in all bank offices and ask the same of our visitors. We understand that our friends and neighbors have varying opinions on the seriousness of the pandemic as well as the importance of a vaccine. We remain cognizant that there is no “one size fits all” but do ask that all customers visiting our offices be respectful of everyone’s personal choice. As a reminder, in addition to personal service, there are many ways to do business with us remotely: drive-thru banking, ATMs, and online, mobile, and telephone banking. We are also happy to talk to anyone who telephones us personally at 740-592-4441.
